Jeffrey Wittenberg practiced law for many years at two of the most prominent law firms in the United States and abroad. During that time, Wittenberg represented Fortune 500 companies, investment banks and investment companies on several high profile matters involving tens of billions of dollars. Among the many clients represented by Jeffrey were General Motors Corporation, General Dynamics Corporation, Takeda Pharmaceuticals, several leading investment banks domestically and abroad, GMAC LLC, Residential Funding Company, LLC, and Highland Capital Management.

Jeffrey has represented investment advisors in various aspects of their day-to-day operations as well as important one-time transactions for which Jeffrey was the lead attorney responsible for advising, drafting and negotiating various agreements. In addition, Jeffrey has in-depth experience dealing with the Securities & Exchange Commission, offshore counsel, administrators, rating agencies, trustees, investors and other deal constituents. In addition, Jeffrey has represented clients in disputes including breach of contract, partnership dissolution, securities matters, and real estate fraud, in both litigation and arbitration forums.

Jeffrey’s international experience includes relocating to Hong Kong during the summer of 2008 to work as the lead attorney for two investment banks underwriting a securities offering involving a Korean bank and a Chinese investment company.

Jeffrey earned his Juris Doctor degree from the University of California, Berkeley (Boalt Hall School of Law). While in law school, Jeffrey focused his studies on corporate and securities issues and wrote his scholarly paper on issues concerning the New York Stock Exchange. Jeffrey obtained his undergraduate degree from The Ohio State University.

Prior to attending law school, Jeffrey worked for years as a registered representative pursuant to a Series 7 License at various broker-dealers located in New York City. During that time, Jeffrey gained invaluable experience working with investment professionals and has an understanding of the various motivations driving stockbrokers, investment advisers and other investment professionals. Consequently, Jeffrey adds uncommon value to clients seeking help with business and investment-related issues and employs an efficient business-like lawyer perspective that has been much appreciated by his clients.
